Filmmakers are innovators.
Act II is where Black women step into the next chapter of their careers — this time, behind the camera. As an initiative of Black Women in Production Inc., Act II is dedicated to supporting filmmakers who are ready to own their stories and take their place in the film industry with full creative control.
Through the Act II Incubator, filmmakers move from script to screen with access to crew, production resources, and industry-standard infrastructure. The GreenLit Fund removes financial barriers by providing the funding needed to bring bold, culturally resonant films to life — ensuring projects don’t just get started, they get finished. And the Act II Podamplifies the conversations, perspectives, and behind-the-scenes truths that shape the culture of filmmaking.
For every Black woman entering her Act II — whether pivoting from another career, reigniting a filmmaking dream, or stepping onto set for the first time — this is where your story is developed, produced, and shared with the world.
